Sport(s) Played: Lacrosse and Bowling
Q1: Why did you choose the sport that you play? I started playing lacrosse when I was in fourth grade. My dad was the coach, and I was on the same team as both of my sisters. It has always been a constant in my life, and I knew I had to continue playing in high school.
Q2: What is your favorite Madeira sports memory?
One of my favorite Madeira sports memories is when I scored a goal from 30 yards out in my freshman year. Although we lost the game, I felt on top of the world.
Q3: How do you get motivated to practice every day?
I try my best to remember that high school sports won’t last forever and to make the most of it.
Q4: Do you have any pre-game rituals or traditions?
One of my pre-game rituals is going to Glena to get my ankle taped! I also always listen to fire music.
Q5: Who’s your favorite athlete you look up to?
My favorite athlete I look up to is LeBron James. He plays with passion and so much energy.
Q6: What makes a great teammate?
A great teammate is reliable, supportive, and communicative. They cheer for you when you succeed and help you when you feel down.
Q7: What is on your pre-game playlist?
My pre-game playlist consists of a plethora of genres. A song that will always hype me up is Low Down By Lil Baby.
Q8: What is the funniest thing you’ve seen or had happen to you in a practice or game?
The funniest thing to happen to me at a lacrosse game was when Lucy Radu collided with the ref. Shortly after, Glena came running out to rescue him. It was hilarious.
Q9: What are your plans after you graduate?
I plan to attend Ohio University to study Elementary Education.
Q10: What advice would you give an 8th-grade athlete as they move on to high school sports?
I would tell them that whatever you put into it is what you get out of it. It is important to show up every day and try your very best.
