What is the Athletic Booster Organization?

The Madeira Athletic Boosters  are organized and operated exclusively for the benefit of the athletic programs of Madeira Public School.  All middle and high schools sports teams receive financial support provided by the boosters.

The Boosters raise money to support ALL athletic teams through membership dues, concession revenue and other fundraising activities

How do you become a member?

You buy an annual membership.  There are various levels of membership from Legend ($500) to Fan Club ($25).  Once you have made your purchase – you are a member and are welcome to attend any meetings and can vote on how the Boosters spend their funds!

Depending on your membership level, you also get the benefit of free admission to any MMS or MHS home games for any of our teams.  This can actually be a savings to families.  Currently a family of 4 would pay $28 to attend a home high school game.  With the membership pass, you will get in free!

You can purchase your membership on this website

What type of donations do we give?

Past donations include $50,000 to the Sheakley Athletic Center,  $50,000 to endow strength coach, startup funds for boys and girls LAX program,  start up of girls golf program, purchase of swim fins, soccer goals, softball/baseball hitting cage, track hurdles, wrestling mats, football shoulder pads funding field and stadium upgrades.

In addition, the Boosters grant over $50,000 annually to the athletic department to cover general operating cost.  This money is critical.  Currently, the pay to play fees that families pay only covers coach’s salaries and transportation cost.  Gate fees/team level fundraising and booster donations pay for everything else!  Just for some perspective…. the Athletic Department pays about $35,000 annually on officials/refs alone, that’s before any extras like new uniforms or equipment. Booster support is critical to keep pay to play fees as low as possible, while at the same time providing some of the operating funds for our teams and helping to buy the “extras”.
