In Track, he emerged as a standout sprinter, clinching the title of three-time EHL Champion in both the 110 and 220 sprints from 1970 to 1972. His lightning speed on the track seamlessly transitioned to the Football field, where he left an indelible mark. In 1972, he was recognized as the Cincinnati AA Back of the Year and Southern Ohio Player of the Year, underscoring his exceptional athleticism and leadership on the gridiron.

His outstanding performances in Football paved the way for a scholarship from the University of Cincinnati, a testament to his prowess and impact as a student-athlete.
