Sport(s) Played: Golf and Baseball

Q1: Why did you choose the sport(s) that you play?
I grew up in a baseball family. I was given a room filled with Reds stuff when I was little, and went to a lot of their games with my grandpa.

Q2: What is your favorite Madeira sports memory?
My favorite Madeira sport memory was when we played Williamsburg in the baseball playoffs. We ended up winning over the two-day game that went into 14 innings.

Q3: How do you get motivated to practice each and every day?
There isn’t a better feeling when players from your little brother’s baseball team come to the games, and think that I am some superstar. It is pretty cool how some of them look up to me which gives me more motivation to be better.

Q4: What superpower do you wish you had and how would you use it?
Time travel so I can go forward in time, steal someone’s invention and become rich.

Q5: Which athlete(s) would you like to have dinner with and what would you talk about?
Connor McGregor and Jon Jones. I don’t really know what we would talk about, but there would be a lot of testosterone in that room.

Q6: What makes a great teammate?
Someone who is a great teammate knows when to be serious and when they can have fun. It lightens the mood of the team while also keeping them on track.

Q7: What is on your pre-game playlist?
Faneto – Chief Keef

Q8: What is the funniest thing that you have seen or happened to you in a practice or game?
When you play with Brennan Beers practically everything is funny, but if I had to pick one moment, it would be when he somehow pitched a complete game shutout while drilling 7 batters throughout the game.

Q9: What is next after you graduate?
I plan on attending the University of Cincinnati or the University of Louisville to study business.

Q10: What advice would you give an 8th grade athlete as they move on to high school sports?
I would say to not put too much pressure on yourself to perform well. Instead, have fun and be confident, the results will come naturally.
