Sport(s) Played: Soccer & Basketball
Q1: Why did you choose the sport(s) that you play?
I’ve been lucky enough to play soccer and basketball throughout my whole life. I mostly gravitated towards these sports specifically because my parents played them growing up.
Q2: What is your favorite Madeira sports memory?
My favorite sports memory would have to be winning the soccer state championship this past fall with all of my teammates! It was an incredible experience I will never forget.
Q3: How do you get motivated to practice each and every day?
I’ve been motivated to practice each day because I know that it will yield results. I am proud of. Whenever we win, big games or accomplish something, I think about the hard work I’ve put in at practice and how that translates to our success.
Q4: What superpower do you wish you had and how would you use it?
If I had a superpower, I would like to fly. I hate sitting in traffic on the road so I would be excited for the increase in efficiency. I would be able to get places much quicker!
Q5: Which athlete(s) would you like to have dinner with and what would you talk about?
As a basketball player, I would have to say Caitlin Clark. She is such an inspiration to women’s basketball and I would love to hear about what her plans are for the future.
Q6: What makes a great teammate?
A great teammate for me is someone who has a strong work ethic and truly cares about success of the team. They work hard every day because they know it will make their teammates better.
Q7: What is on your pre-game playlist?
Seeing Green by Nicki Minaj is my favorite pregame song! (shout out to Katie Dunn)
Q8: What is the funniest thing that you have seen or happened to you in a practice or game?
The funniest thing I’ve done probably is during junior year when I unintentionally crawled across the court to get the ball during the Deer Park game.
Q9: What is next after you graduate?
I plan to attend college and major in accounting!
Q10: What advice would you give an 8th grade athlete as they move on to high school sports?
I would tell them to work as hard as they can. Putting in extra time can be hard, but it ends up being so worth it. High school sports are such a special thing to be a part of so I would tell them to make the most of their time and enjoy every second!
