Sport(s) Played: Soccer
Q1: Why did you choose the sport(s) that you play?
I chose the sport I play originally because my parents wanted me to do something active but ever since I was little, I have grown up loving the sport and the people I meet while doing it.
Q2: What is your favorite Madeira sports memory?
My favorite Madeira sports memory was when our team won in double overtime versus Kalida last year in the tournament.
Q3: How do you get motivated to practice each and every day?
I get motivated to practice each and every day from the support my teammates and I all give each other to enjoy ourselves and get 1% better.
Q4: What superpower do you wish you had and how would you use it?
I wish that I had super speed so that I could travel anywhere and get there in an instant. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do.
Q5: Which athlete(s) would you like to have dinner with and what would you talk about?
If I could have dinner with an athlete, I would definitely meet Alex Morgan and talk about her life growing up and how she got into soccer. I also want to know about her daily routine + what she likes to do in her free time.
Q6: What makes a great teammate?
I think what makes a good teammate is the mix of being a great friend and supporting your teammates but also pushing them to be better and make the team better.
Q7: What is on your pre-game playlist?
My pregame playlist is either a drake song or Hall of Fame by the script.
Q8: What is the funniest thing that you have seen or happened to you in a practice or game?
The funniest thing that has happened to me is that our team has had to sing the national anthem at many soccer games due do the speakers not working.
Q9: What is next after you graduate?
I plan to attend college and play soccer at George Washington University in DC. I’m not sure what I want to major in, but I definitely want to do something in the math/science field.
Q10: What advice would you give an 8th grade athlete as they move on to high school sports?
The biggest piece of advice I can give is that the four years you have in high school go by so fast so make the most of the time you have. Also, don’t be scared to try a new sport that you haven’t done before because you might find a new interest
